Salon & spa · Front desk

An AI receptionist for salons and spas

It picks up while your stylists are mid-appointment: takes booking requests with the service, preferred stylist and times, answers questions about services, prices and your cancellation policy, and transfers to the front desk when a client asks.

What the agent does on a call

Takes booking requests

It collects the service, a preferred stylist if they have one, the days and times that work, and the client's name and number, then tells them the salon will confirm.

Answers service and price questions

From your own service list, price list and policies. It won't make up a price or a treatment you don't offer.

Never promises a slot it can't see

It doesn't tell a client a stylist or time is free. Your team confirms, so nobody is double-booked by the phone.

Stays out of medical advice

For skin reactions, allergies or pregnancy questions it suggests a patch test or asking their doctor, instead of guessing.

How setup works

  1. 1Pick the Salon & spa starter and type your salon's name.
  2. 2Add your services, prices, hours and cancellation policy as FAQs or documents.
  3. 3Call it in your browser and try booking a balayage, asking about prices, and asking for a person.
  4. 4Get a number, or forward your salon's line to it when you're busy or closed.

The backend behind it

Actions, data tables and webhooks come with every plan, Free included. The call log and Inbox come with a phone number.

Inbox of booking requests

Every request lands in the Inbox as a record with the service, stylist, preferred times, name and number, ready for your front desk to confirm.

Data tables

Keep services and prices in a table the agent reads on calls, so a price change is one edit.

Actions

If your booking software has an API, describe what you want (for example, look up open slots) and Apollo drafts an action that calls it.

Webhooks

Send each new booking request to your own tools the moment it's captured.

Safety rules, built in

The salon & spa starter follows these rules on every call, on top of anything you add.

  • Never give medical or dermatological advice. For skin reactions, allergies, or pregnancy questions, suggest a patch test or asking their doctor.
  • Never promise a specific stylist or time is available; the salon confirms.
  • Never make up facts, prices, availability, or policies. If you don't know, say so and offer to take a message or transfer.
  • Never ask for or repeat payment card numbers, bank details, Social Security numbers, or passwords.
  • If someone describes an emergency or danger to life, tell them to hang up and call 911 right away.

Questions

Does it book straight into my salon software?

Not out of the box. The starter takes booking requests and your team confirms them. If your booking software has an API, you can add an action that calls it.

Can it upsell a treatment?

Yes, if you tell it to. Describe what to suggest and when in plain words, and test it in your browser before it goes live.

What if a client wants to talk to their stylist?

Add a transfer number and the agent puts the call through to your team when someone asks for a person.

What it means to vibe code a voice agent: describe a phone agent in plain words, let Apollo build the voice, call flow and backend, then test it in your browser and put it on a real number.
